National Athletic Combine

FAQs

Please see commonly asked questions and their answers below. Feel free to contact us if you need further assistance.

NEW! Do Athletes have to be nominated by a coach?

Yes. All athletes must first be nominated by a coach via our website Athlete Nomination form.

NEW! Do I have to Pre-register online?

Yes. All athletes who receive an invitation must pre-register online. Athletes who do not pre-register may not be allowed to participate in the combine.

NEW! How do I know if I have been invited?

After you have been nominated by a coach via our website Athlete Nomination form, we will select athletes and send invitation letters through your high school head coach. These letters contain a unique ID (Invitation Number) that you must have to pre-register online. This invitation number is uniquely assigned to each athlete — athletes may not pre-register using another athlete’s invitation number.

NEW! Is being Nominated the same as Pre-registered?

No. Nomination is simply the first step in our athlete selection and invitation process. All athletes must first be nominated by a coach via our website Athlete Nomination form. After you have been nominated by a coach, we will select from nominated athletes and send invitation letters through your high school head coach. Once you receive your invitation, you must pre-register online.

The combine is a two day event. Are athletes expected to attend both days?

No. Combines are typically held over two days (Saturday and Sunday). Athletes are invited in two groups — a Saturday group and a Sunday group — with each group only attending on its assigned day. The invitation letter you receive will indicate which group you are in.

Are parents and/or family members allowed to attend the combine?

Yes. Areas for spectators will be designated (whenever possible) around the perimeter of the facility. Spectators are asked to bring their own chairs.

What do we need to bring to the combine?

Participants need to bring jock, turf shoes (cleats) and socks. We will also collect your driver’s license or student id, your waiver & consent form, transcripts, game tape, and highlight reel upon check-in.

Are cameras allowed at the combine?

We enforce a strict no video camera policy; however, digital still cameras are welcome for picture taking.

Are food and/or drinks provided to participants at the combine?

Lunch and drinks will be served during the combine for a cost of $5, which is in compliance with Texas University Interscholastic League (UIL) requirements. Breakfast and dinner are on your own.

Where can I find the Waiver & Consent form?

You will be prompted to print and fill out the National Athletic Combine Waiver & Consent Form (PDF) upon completing the online pre-registration form. If you have misplaced your form, you may download and print it by clicking the link above in the answer to this question.

Are combine participants allowed to keep their NAC workout gear?

No. All NAC workout gear and the RFID wristband must be returned at the end of the day. NAC t-shirts and other apparel may be available for purchase at the event (cash or check only).

Are combines ever canceled due to inclement weather?

No. Weather is not a factor since all National Athletic Combines are held indoors on artificial turf.

How do I view my NAC player profile?

All NAC player profiles and combine video is provided exclusively to colleges and universities for talent evaluation and recruiting purposes. It is not made available to the general public. Participants and parents will also be able subscribe to the player profiles in the near future; however, this phase is still in development. We are committed to providing the highest level of service to subscribing colleges and universities at this time. We will provide an update via this website when it becomes available. We appreciate your patience.
