National Athletic Combine

General Information

The National Athletic Combine prides itself in its mission to become the standard in athletic combines for prospective high school and junior college athletes. Our football combines will follow the format of the professional scouting combine held each year in Indianapolis.

NAC Measurements & Drills

Athletes will wear standard issue NAC compression gear that clearly shows physical form. Athletes will be photographed and videotaped from frontal, side (left and right profile) and rear views.

Measurements

Athletes will be measured for height, weight, arm length, wing span, and hand span, all of which will be verified by video. » See Video

Flexibility

Athletes’ total body flexibility will be assessed and verified by video. » See Video

Bench Press

Athletes’ upper body strength will be assessed on the bench press with a weight of 185 lbs. The total number of reps will be counted and verified by video. » See Video

Vertical Jump

Athletes’ vertical jump will be measured and verified by video. » See Video

Broad Jump

Athletes’ broad jump will be measured and verified by video. » See Video

10-20-40 Yd Sprint

Athletes’ speed and quickness will be measured in the 40 yd. sprint, with splits being timed at 10 and 20 yards. This drill will be timed electronically AND by hand (hand times recorded by former official timers at the NFL combine) and verified by video. » See Video

Short Shuttle

Athletes’ agility and quickness (body control and change of direction) will be measured in the 20 yd. short shuttle, with 2 10 yd. splits and overall time recorded. This drill will be timed electronically AND by hand (hand times recorded by former official timers at the NFL combine) and verified by video.

Long Shuttle

Athletes’ agility and quickness (body control and change of direction) will be measured in the 60 yd. long shuttle, with overall time recorded. This drill will be timed electronically AND by hand (hand times recorded by former official timers at the NFL combine) and verified by video. » See Video

3-Cone Drill

Athletes’ agility and quickness (body control and cutting ability) will be measured in the 3-cone drill, with overall time recorded. This drill will be timed electronically AND by hand (hand times recorded by former official timers at the NFL combine) and verified by video. » See Video

Position Drills

Athletes are divided into groups by position at the combine. Each position group is assigned to a position coach and is run through a series of drills specific to their position, all of which are videotaped. All position drills follow the format of the pro football combine and are conducted by former NFL and NCAA football coaches.
